Ok, you guys - I made it to the 120's! It's great to be back here again. What's even better is that I am still really excited about my new lifestyle, I've been hitting all my workout goals and ALL of the clothes in my closet fit! :) To top it all off, week 5 was full of new and delicious recipes including a vegan Shepherd's Pie, Creamy White Bean Tomato Soup and of course the Apple Berry Pies! I will round up the recipe links for you and post them soon.

Now that week 5 is over, don't forget about the Blueberry Arugula contest! Guess our week 6 weight and win a FREE copy of Eat to Live! Today is the last day for entries! Click the contest link for details on how to enter.

My excitement about my health and shrinking waistline is awesome but it's time for a reality check. I've been in the high 120's twice over the last 6 years. Once for my wedding and once for my sister's wedding. Guess what happened right after the weddings...yup, I packed on the pounds. Now is the time when I would feel great about my health/weight and I would start thinking to myself, "I'm at a healthy weight, I can eat this [insert crappy, low-nutrient, gluttonous meal/dessert] and still be fine." Those thoughts would of course snow-ball and go from one unhealthy meal to the next. Then, POOF! Alllllllll the weight was back. The good news is that I have yet to have one of those thoughts. I am still 100% committed to the Eat to Live lifestyle and I know that I am not at the end of my weight loss yet. I fully expect it to start getting much harder to shed lbs as I get closer to my ideal weight but I will not give up!

During week 5 I had to give Dr. Fuhrman some credit. A lot of what he explains about the 6-week challenge process has been coming true. My cravings for Standard American Diet fare have significantly decreased, I am now craving whole plant foods (I actually searched for celery on Sunday for a quick snack while out furniture shopping!), my energy has been increasing and one of the best parts is that while Eating to Live, you NEVER regret or feel guilty about anything you eat. Check out my breakfast from this morning: grapefruit, pineapple and even an oatmeal breakfast cookie (I'll post the recipe soon!). A seriously delicious assortment of satisfying, guilt-free whole foods!

Breakfast Time! You guys will love these vegan/oil-free/sugar-free/flour-less oatmeal cookies!
Have a great week and don't forget to enter for a chance to win Eat to Live!
